Medicare

For Georgia Residents Only

Yep! You have been bombarded with Medicare phone calls, texts, and brochures. Unless it is from Social Security or Medicare, trash it or use it to wallpaper your bathroom. We can help make this entire process EASY. You WON’T PAY US A SINGLE PENNY to use our expertise.

When can I start the process?

Your Medicare coverage will start the first day of your birthday month (unless you were born on the 1st , in which case, back it up one month). You have three months before your birthday month, three months after, and then three months after.

Steps to Enrollment:

#1 Set up a profile on the Social Security Website. This is where you apply for Medicare.

Social Security (ssa.gov)

#2-A Turning 65? Apply for Medicare A (and/or B) - and/or Social Security

Apply for Benefits, Social Security (ssa.gov)

You can delay Part B if you're already covered through an employer group health plan (with over 20 employees) and plan on keeping it until retirement.

#2-B Leaving an Employer Group Plan? Apply for Medicare Part B (you already have A)

Apply Online for Medicare Part B During a Special Enrollment Period (ssa.gov)

#3 Wait for that Medicare Card to arrive in the mail.

#4 Got your card? Now, set up your profile on MEDICARE.GOV – Use your Medicare Card Number to create an online profile.

#5 Contact Us! We will educate you about Medicare Supplements versus Medicare Advantage Plans as well as Rx Benefits. And then… WE HOLD YOUR HAND THE REST OF THE WAY!

Deadlines and Enrollment:

  • For Medicare A and B: You have 3 months before your birthday month, your birthday month, and then 3 months after. A total of 7 MONTHS to enroll!
  • For Medicare Supplement: Your birthday month and 5 months afterward.
  • For Rx Coverage: Same as Medicare A and/or B timelines.

When can I get a Medicare Supplement?

  • Are you new to Medicare? You have your birthday month and 5 months afterward.
  • Do you already have a Medicare Supplement and want a new one to lower your cost? If you are relatively healthy, you can apply anytime. We can prescreen you.
  • Do you have a Medicare Advantage plan and want better coverage? You can only drop your Medicare Advantage plan during Open Enrollment, so you should apply for a supplement during November. It will be subject to medical underwriting.

Annual Open Enrollment (Oct 15th thru Dec 7th)

What do I need to do?

If you have

Medicare with a Supplement,

you should only shop for Part D (Rx).

Your current supplement will roll into 2025.

If you have a

Medicare Advantage Plan (MAPD),

you will shop for new MAPD (Part C).

How To Shop For RX

You are required to have an Rx plan. We don’t offer them, but we teach you how to shop. YOU NEED TO DO THIS EVERY YEAR DURING OPEN ENROLLMENT to ensure you have the most cost-effective one, or you will be paying way too much!!!! Grab a drink and your drug list. Then sit back and watch the ENTIRE VIDEO or you will be comparing the wrong details! Still feeling confused? We are here!
